Wedding ceremony in Four Seasons

Documenting Jessica and Daniel’s wedding at the Four Seasons Astir Palace in Athens was a landmark moment for me. This was my first opportunity to cover a ceremony at the resort since its impressive renovations, and the experience did not disappoint. Located on a historic peninsula along the Athenian Riviera, the venue remains one of the most iconic destinations in Greece.

Timing the Light: A Sunset Ceremony

Jessica and Daniel made a brilliant decision: they scheduled their ceremony for exactly ninety minutes before sunset. By keeping every part of the day within the Four Seasons premises, we eliminated travel time and allowed me to focus entirely on the shifting natural light.

The ceremony site was perfectly positioned to face the descending sun. As a photographer who is a "sucker" for natural flares, I loved how the light peaked through the trees. It allowed me to "hide and reveal" the sun simply by shifting my position, creating a series of cinematic, ethereal shots during the vows.

Portraits During the "Magic Hour"

Because the reception was just a short walk away, we were able to transition seamlessly into a portrait session during the "magic hour." Capturing a couple against the Aegean Sea exactly as the sun hits the horizon is when I am at my happiest as a photographer.

The result is a gallery that feels effortless and unscripted. I prefer to let the images speak for themselves and allow your imagination to fill in the gaps of this beautiful day.
