Villa Delenia Evia | The Intimate Seaside Escape of Natalia & Yannick
Villa Delenia is defined by its isolation. Perched on a rugged cliffside in Evia—an island that remains beautifully underdeveloped and "under the radar" compared to the more commercial Greek destinations—it offers a level of privacy that is rare to find. Having documented several stories here over the last few years, I’ve come to expect the unexpected.
A Haven for the Alternative & High-Profile
The people who choose Villa Delenia are often seeking something far from the norm. From high-end business leaders to creative magicians, the guests here value authenticity over "glitz." Natalia and Yannick were no exception. Their wedding was small, intimate, and deeply grounded in the natural surroundings of the Aegean.
As a photographer, my approach at a venue like this is to remain a "discrete observer." Aside from the brief moments needed to direct their portraits, I hardly spoke to Natalia and Yannick. When there is this much raw emotion available in the room, I choose to stay in the background and let the story unfold exactly as it is meant to.
The Luxury of Silence
In a world of highly produced events, there is a certain luxury in the silence of a place like Evia. Natalia and Yannick’s day was a reminder that you don't need a massive production to create a powerful gallery. You simply need the right light, a stunning landscape, and a couple who is willing to be themselves.
Capturing the "emotional truth" of their union against the stone walls and turquoise waters of the villa was a privilege. For those looking for an alternative to the traditional Greek island wedding, Villa Delenia remains a singular experience.
