The reason Anna and Efrain decided on having an Santorini Elopement was the fact that Anna is from Brazil and Efrain from Mexico, therefore Santorini was the common agreed ground. It was early in April but thankfully the weather corporated with us literally last minute resulting a beautiful experience. Really sweet couple with the love for eachother evident for my camera 🙂 Some of my favorite photos from the Elopement below.
How do you plan a wedding when the groom and bride are from different locations? Ana and Efrain had an easy answer to this dilemma that poses a challenge for many modern couples in an increasingly globalized world: they agreed to elope in a commonly agreed place that would be neither Ana’s native Brazil nor Efrain’s native Mexico. And their place of choice was not just any old place, but the breathtaking island of Santorini. More specifically, the couple exchanged their vows at the luxurious Atrina Canava in the coastal village of Oia. While Ana and Efrain bravely took their chances by eloping in April instead of the summertime, which is when the island overflows with tourists, luck was on their side for their special day with the sun shining all day. The minimal décor, characterized by touches of gray, green, white and black, allowed the location to steal the show without distracting from the couple’s celebration of love. Efrain waited for his bride under a simple metallic frame adorned with flowers and foliage. Ana, dressed in a simple but elegant dress with a tulle skirt and carrying a bouquet of peonies, king protea and olive leaves joined him there for a simple ceremony. Once it was over, they cracked open a bottle of champagne in celebration and released “Mr” and “Mrs” balloons in an unforgettable moment filled with joy and laughter. Before dining at their private table for two overlooking the island’s imposing volcano, they made sure to FaceTime family back home and show them their dreamy surroundings on video in order to make them feel part of their big day. The couple enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife to the sound of Bob Dylan, before tucking into a gourmet Greek meal. Can you think of anything more perfect?
