My favorite collection of images from the Canaves Oia Elopement of Olimpio & Christine. I really hope you enjoy, the colors, the light and the couple of course!
As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite kind of assignments, is to photograph elopements.Elopements are small events and sometimes there are a handful of people present. As such, they are by definition small events. That allows me to take the time to create the timeline with the couple and make the day as they wish it to be. Starting with the bride and groom’s preparation, after that a smaller or larger, ( depending the given time ) photoshoot, then the ceremony, add a few images with the scenery during dinner and the whole thing comes together visually as a small wedding story. Such was the case with Olimpio and Christine, a wonderful couple that I had the joy to work with, for their Canaves Oia Elopement. I said ”joy” because not only the couple was the kind of people that seemed to be as classy and kind as it gets, but also the fact that this last wedding that I have photographed in Santorini, took place in one of my favorite times of the year. October like May are such times, as the weather is even better that what it is during July and August, and the temperature in Santorini is statistically close to what most would call perfect. Personally I’m thrilled by the experience, as I love shooting small weddings, and the relaxed and creative atmosphere that goes along with it.
#update ! This Elopement was published in the beautiful wedding blog Chicandstylishweddings here !
